Bitcoin slipped slightly below its two-hundred-week moving average before recovering, according to Michael Saylor, who says the market has begun turning upward. The Strategy executive told Bloomberg Television he believes the bull market is just beginning and expects Bitcoin to move back above $100,000.

At the time of the report, BTC was trading at $83,761.77. Saylor said it had bounced from a low slightly below $60,000 and was moving into what he sees as more favorable conditions.

“I think we hit the bottom around slightly below $60,000. I think we bounced off it. Now we're moving up into the eighties. I think we'll continue to march forward from here,” Saylor said.

His view offers a sharp contrast with the pressures he said had weighed on prices in recent months. Saylor cited restrictive trade, foreign, currency and monetary policies as headwinds, while pointing to a more favorable regulatory environment, faster bank adoption, tokenized securities and growth in the digital asset market as potential support.

Why Saylor is bullish on btc usd

Saylor said Bitcoin was trading 25% above its two-hundred-week moving average after briefly dipping below it. He also described the development of digital credit networks and the arrival of banking credit as favorable for the asset.

“We've got the formation of and the strengthening of digital credit networks and, of course, banking credit coming online, and all these things are very auspicious for the asset,” he said.

The forecast matters to investors because it links Saylor’s optimism to a mix of market structure and policy conditions, rather than price momentum alone. But the figures remain his outlook, not a guarantee of future performance.

“I think that it should definitely move back into the six figures, back beyond $100,000,” Saylor said. He added that Strategy’s “long-term forecast is Bitcoin grows 20%-30% a year over the next twenty years.” He described the last twelve months as a contraction.

Strategy’s own trading policy also featured in the interview. Saylor said buying and selling Bitcoin is part of the company’s regular financial activity, alongside transactions involving dollars, equity, credit, STRC and its own shares.

He argued that the company needs flexibility to move among those assets and sources of capital. Saylor said that refusing to sell equity, capital or credit could degrade the company’s value, and described the ability to trade different asset pairs in either direction as a major unlock for investors.

Strategy bought 250 BTC last week at an average price of $86,194 per Bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to 848,250 BTC. The purchase was the company’s smallest Bitcoin buy in 2026.

For the week ended Oct. 9, Strategy sold 125,183 MSTR shares for $21 million and used the proceeds, along with $500 million from its USD Cash reserves, to fund its Bitcoin purchase. The company also repurchased 1.9 million STRC shares for $192.4 million.

Investor sentiment on Stocktwits was weak: retail sentiment around MSTR fell from “bearish” to “extremely bearish” over 24 hours amid low message volumes, while sentiment around BTC was “bearish,” also with low message volumes.
