Samsung’s Smart Glasses Reportedly Weigh 41 Grams, With 26 Frame Versions

At about 41 grams with standard lenses, Samsung’s upcoming smart glasses could feel closer to ordinary eyewear than earlier leaks suggested. A new report also lays out 26 frame versions from partners Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, ahead of an expected November launch in the United States and South Korea.

Samsung has not confirmed the weight, price or a specific sale date. The 41-gram figure comes from SammyGuru, which says it obtained details and images of the full lineup. Prescription lenses will add some weight, with the amount depending on the model.

Two eyewear partners, distinct lineups

Warby Parker’s range comprises three styles — Alden, Reid and Wren — offered in dark green, reddish brown and black, with clear or sunglass lenses. The brand’s glasses are expected to be sold only in the United States.

Gentle Monster’s collection has six shapes, including square, round, cat-eye and oval designs. The lineup includes burgundy, cream and pale lilac, marking a move beyond black. SammyGuru reports 10 versions from Warby Parker and 16 from Gentle Monster.

Sales are expected through the two brands’ websites and stores, as well as Samsung’s U.S. stores. The exact launch day has not been announced.

A lighter figure, but still unconfirmed

The reported weight is below earlier estimates. Korean media had cited a target of about 46 grams, while leaked renders in April were associated with a figure near 50 grams. Samsung has not publicly verified the latest number.

The glasses are being developed with Google’s Gemini AI, according to The Verge, and are described as having no display. That design puts them in the audio-focused category of smart eyewear rather than glasses that show information on a lens.

For shoppers, weight may be one practical measure of whether smart glasses can pass as everyday eyewear. But the reported 41 grams applies to standard lenses; prescription versions will weigh more, and the increase varies by frame.
