The confirmation matters because it puts Samsung back in the spotlight on one of its most sensitive issues: whether its own processor can finally close the gap with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon in performance and efficiency.
The timing is significant for buyers. Samsung has spent years facing criticism over earlier Exynos chips, especially from users who paid flagship prices but got weaker thermals, lower gaming performance, and less consistent battery life in some markets. The company now wants the Exynos 2700 to change that story before the Galaxy S27 reaches stores.
