A 38-year-old mother died after her red Nissan Juke hit a brick wall in Liverpool late Friday night, leaving police hunting for witnesses and doorbell footage from the area. Kelly Lundie was killed on Allerton Road in Woolton shortly after 11:30 p.m. BST, Merseyside Police said.
Her family said the loss has left a deep void. In a tribute, they described Lundie as “gorgeous, inside and out,” “outgoing and full of life,” and said her presence could “light up a room.”
‘Devoted and beloved mother’
The family’s statement focused on her bond with her son, saying Lundie was a “devoted and beloved mother” and that he was “her world.” They said the love she had for him was “immeasurable.”
They also said she “brought so much fun, affection and happiness” into their lives, adding that no words could fully express how deeply she will be missed. Short sentences. Heavy ones, too. The kind that land hard.
Police appeal after late-night crash
Merseyside Police has asked anyone who saw what happened on Allerton Road, or who may have relevant doorbell footage, to come forward. Officers have not released further details about what caused the car to strike the wall.
Lundie’s family are being supported by specially trained officers, police said.
