Friday night’s ticket-transfer failures left fans racing to secure entry to concerts and other events across the United States. Ticketmaster acknowledged the problem through its support account and said Saturday that most pending transfers were being processed within 60 minutes.

The disruption affected mobile tickets. Customers reported transfers they could not accept, tickets stuck between accounts and an error message reading “Transfer Unavailable.”

Complaints surfaced around unrelated events in multiple cities, including Harry Styles at Madison Square Garden in New York, Bruno Mars at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, and BUNT. at Emo’s in Austin. Reports continued Saturday, with customers also describing issues involving Metallica at Sphere in Las Vegas and the Miami-Clemson football game in South Carolina.

TicketNews, which reviewed social-media posts and Reddit discussions, said it had not independently verified that every complaint stemmed from the same technical issue. The breadth of reports, however, left customers facing uncertainty about whether transferred tickets would arrive before an event.

That uncertainty can reach beyond a ticket’s original buyer and recipient. Some customers said they had purchased resale tickets through other marketplaces, but could not receive them because the underlying Ticketmaster transfer had not completed. For fans approaching showtime, the practical concern was access at the door.

Ticketmaster did not appear to issue a broad public incident announcement Friday night. Its verified Ticketmaster Fan Support account instead responded directly to affected customers on X. “This is on our radar and our team is looking into it. We will update you soon,” the account told one customer unable to accept a transfer.

By Saturday, the company provided a processing estimate. “As of 12pm ET/9am PT, the majority of pending transfers are being processed within 60 minutes, most completing in under 10 minutes,” Ticketmaster Fan Support told multiple customers.

Some fans still needed a fallback. Ticketmaster told customers whose Saturday events were approaching to visit the venue box office with confirmation information if their transfers had not arrived. In one response, support said the box office would have a record of the transfer. A customer attending BUNT. at Emo’s said the doors were due to open in 30 minutes and the group still could not accept its tickets; support advised bringing confirmation details and the payment method used for the purchase.

Customers described different symptoms. One screenshot showed the message, “Unfortunately, Transfer is not available at the moment. Please try again later.” In a discussion about the Oct. 2 Harry Styles concert, a customer said the transfer remained incomplete as the show approached and later reported that the Madison Square Garden box office knew about the problem.

Another discussion about Bruno Mars at SoFi Stadium described a ticket that could neither be transferred to the intended recipient nor canceled so the process could be tried again. Other commenters reported trouble accepting tickets bought through secondary marketplaces.

TicketNews said it had requested information from Ticketmaster and multiple venues about the cause, duration and scope of the problems. As of publication, Ticketmaster had not responded to the outlet’s request. The support account’s Saturday estimate said most pending transfers were being processed within 60 minutes.
