Brittany Mahomes shared an update on her partnership with Divi as the haircare brand expanded to the East Coast. The move puts the company’s new hairspray advertising in front of a wider audience, while Mahomes continues a collaboration she says she believes in.
Her social media post showed a clip of an advertisement on a large banner. Divi’s message invited people to tag the brand if they spotted the ad, adding that it might send them “a little treat.”
“And just like that, Divi hit the East Coast 🍎 Tag us if you see the new hairspray ad in the wild and we might just send you a little treat 👀,” the post read.
The update marks a fresh step in Mahomes’ work with the company. She has been associated with Divi since the last NFL season, according to the Times of India, which reported on her announcement.
Brittany Mahomes on her Divi partnership
Mahomes described the product as changing what she expected from hairspray. She said she wanted styling performance without giving up the health of her hair.
“Divi changed my expectations for what hairspray could do… love that I can get the hold and finish I want without sacrificing the health of my hair. After working with Divi last year, I was excited to continue the partnership,” Mahomes said in an interview cited by the Times of India.
She also said she is selective about the brands she works with. “I’m selective about the brands I work with, and Divi is one I truly believe in,” she said.
That endorsement gives the expansion a personal angle: Mahomes is presenting herself not simply as an advertising partner, but as someone who says she values the product. For customers encountering the new banner, the company’s pitch is that hairspray can provide hold and finish while still considering hair health. The report does not provide details about where the ads will appear or when the expansion began.
Divi founder explains the product approach
Divi founder Dani Austin framed the brand’s approach around styling products that work with hair rather than leaving it dry or stiff. She said the company saw an opportunity to rethink hairspray through what it calls Growth Care™.
“I’ve always believed hair care should work with your hair, not against it,” Austin said. She added that some consumers spend time caring for their hair, then use styling products that can leave it feeling “dry, stiff or compromised.”
Austin said Divi wanted formulas that deliver the performance consumers expect from styling products without asking them to compromise on hair health. Her comments set out the company’s own product claims; the source report does not include independent testing or other evidence assessing those claims.
The Times of India described Divi as a $100 million haircare brand. It also identified Mahomes as an investor and co-owner of the Kansas City Current, noting that she has pursued business ventures alongside her husband Patrick Mahomes’ football career.
Divi’s social media post asked followers to tag the company if they see the new hairspray advertisement on the East Coast.
