Samsung’s 2026 flagship OLED delivers award-winning picture quality, but its price starts at $2,500. Buyers seeking OLED contrast without paying flagship rates have options from Samsung, LG, Roku, Sharp and Sony, though cheaper models can give up brightness or gaming features.

The S95H, known as the S99H in Europe, comes in four U.S. sizes, with list prices reaching $6,500 for the 83-inch version. Its QD-OLED panel offers vivid color, while the 83-inch model uses an RGB Tandem OLED panel. Samsung also equips the set with a 165Hz refresh rate. The TV recently swept awards at HDTV’s 2026 shootout.

Lower prices bring trade-offs

OLED’s self-illuminating pixels produce deep blacks and strong contrast without a separate backlight. That core appeal is available in less expensive sets, but a lower price can mean a dimmer screen or fewer gaming capabilities than a flagship.

LG’s C5 is one alternative highlighted by TechRadar, which ranks it as its top OLED overall. The review outlet points to its picture quality, built-in audio and gaming features. For a cheaper option, it recommends the LG B5, while noting that the model is not as bright as the C5.

That distinction matters in everyday viewing: a set that looks excellent in a darker room may not match a brighter flagship in a sunlit space. Buyers comparing prices should weigh the features they will actually use, particularly screen brightness and gaming performance.

More models to compare

Samsung’s own lineup also offers alternatives, alongside OLED TVs from Roku, Sharp and Sony. The available source material does not provide model names or prices for those options, so shoppers will need to compare current listings and reviews before deciding which sets deliver the best fit for their budget.

Expert recommendations provide another reference point. RTINGS’ 2026 OLED selection includes Samsung’s S95H, S90F and S90H, as well as LG’s C6, C5 and B6. The list shows how buyers can look beyond a single flagship, but rankings alone do not establish that every model costs less than the S95H.

As OLED prices broaden the field, the practical choice will come down to the trade-off between cost and performance. For shoppers, the next step is checking local prices and comparing brightness and gaming specifications before buying.
