Heidi Klum’s Severed Hand Leads 2026 Halloween Looks

Heidi Klum arrived at her 25th annual Halloween party in New York dressed as a giant, bloody hand — a striking take on her own left hand. The costume, complete with red nails, her wedding band and a tattoo of husband Tom Kaulitz’s name, was among the celebrity looks for Halloween 2026.
It was an elaborate prop with a practical drawback. “Hands down, the hardest thing is carrying it,” Klum said.
Harry Styles went in a different direction, turning a Madison Square Garden performance into a look back at his early career before appearing as New York’s Pizza Rat. Other stars drew on music videos, television characters and family costumes for the holiday.
How did Heidi Klum create the severed-hand look?
Klum modeled the costume on her own left hand, adding details that made the oversized prop personal: red nails, her wedding band and a tattoo bearing Kaulitz’s name. She wore it to her annual Halloween party in New York.
The look leaned into the gruesome side of Halloween, but its scale also made it difficult to carry. Klum’s brief comment captured the physical challenge without diminishing the idea behind the costume.
Her appearance set a vivid tone for a night when celebrities used costumes to reference familiar figures and pieces of pop culture. The choices ranged from detailed impersonations to more playful, unexpected ideas.
Harry Styles revisits his early career
At the first of his two “Harryween” shows at Madison Square Garden on Friday, Styles recreated his 2010 X Factor audition. He wore a grey cardigan and yellow scarf, with an audition number pinned to his outfit.
He sang Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” and told the crowd, “I work in a bakery.” Earlier that night, Styles had dressed as Elvis Presley in a white sequined jumpsuit and cape. Riley Keough, Presley’s granddaughter, was in the crowd.
Styles then changed character for the final night of his 30-night residency on Saturday. He dressed as Pizza Rat, wearing a furry brown suit with a long pink tail and carrying a large foam slice of pizza. Zoë Kravitz went as a bodega plastic bag.
The costumes drew on New York references as well as music history. Styles’ audition outfit recreated a specific early-career moment, while Pizza Rat turned a familiar city image into a full stage look.
Pop culture and family take center stage
Paris Hilton continued her tradition of dressing as Britney Spears, this time recreating the singer’s look from the “I’m a Slave 4 U” music video. Hilton also coordinated costumes with her family, bringing characters from Beauty and the Beast to life with her husband, Carter Reum, and their two children.
Reum dressed as the Beast, their son Phoenix as Lumiere, their daughter London as Chip, and Hilton as Belle. The family’s choices drew backlash online. Hilton also dressed as Morticia Addams, with Reum and the children completing the Addams family looks.
Lily Allen turned a Ticketmaster seating map into a wearable costume. Her white puffer and leotard were covered with small blue dots, with the word “Stage” across the collar. Allen shared the outfit on Instagram with the caption, “Never beating the allegations. #bluedotfever.”
A fan connected the joke to Allen canceling her Auckland concert because she was sick. The commenter said people online had suggested the cancellation was because the show had not sold enough tickets.
During Friday’s broadcast, Today show hosts also appeared in Halloween costumes. Savannah Guthrie dressed as an old-school news anchor, Al Roker as Gumby and Jenna Bush Hager as Phoebe Buffay from Friends. Carson Daly went as country singer Ella Langley, including her signature fringe.
Kim Kardashian dressed as her daughter North West, copying her long electric-blue hair, piercings and familiar pose with a hand covering her mouth. Keke Palmer and her son, Leodis, took inspiration from Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson in the “Scream” music video, with Palmer as the “All for You” singer and Leodis as the King of Pop.
“Another memory with mommy and son! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH BUDDY. ITS SO MUCH FUN PLAYING WITH YOU! You will take over the family business, your way, someday,” Palmer wrote on Instagram. She added: “My SCREAM come true. 🥹🖤”
