Samsung's foldable lineup has matured significantly since the Galaxy Z Fold debuted in 2019. The company now dominates the premium foldable market with its Z Fold and Z Flip series, releasing new versions annually. Speculation about the Galaxy Z Fold 8 has already begun among tech enthusiasts, even though Samsung typically doesn't launch major Z Fold updates until late 2027 or 2028.
The current flagship, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, set the bar high. Its 6.3-inch cover screen and 7.6-inch foldable display deliver a productive mobile experience, though critics have long pushed Samsung to address the visible crease and make the device thinner.
