South Korea’s K League 1 title race has a clear leader, but FC Seoul arrives at its next match looking to recover from a setback. Seoul hosts Jeju in the league’s 31st round on October 10 at 2 p.m. local time, with a chance to extend its advantage at the top.

Seoul has 62 points, 16 more than second-place Ulsan HD, while Jeju sits fourth with 46. The result matters at both ends of the standings: a Seoul victory would take the hosts to 65 points, while Jeju could climb to 49 and improve its position in the chase for second place.

Seoul seeks a response after Pohang loss

The capital club is coming off a defeat to Pohang Steelers and will try to put that result behind it at Seoul World Cup Stadium. Seoul’s season record stands at 19 wins, five draws and six losses, with 56 goals scored and 25 conceded.

The gap gives Seoul room to protect its lead, but the match still carries immediate stakes. Jeju’s points total leaves it with a chance to close ground on the teams above, and an away win would strengthen that effort.

The numbers are stark.

Teams name their lineups

Seoul’s listed starting group includes goalkeeper Goh Seong-yoon, with Kim Jin-su, Ross, Yazan and Choi Jun in defense. Anderson, Babece, Lee Seung-mo and Jeong Seung-won are named in midfield, while Klimala and Moon Seon-min lead the attack.

Jeju lists Kim Dong-jun in goal. Its players include Jeong Woon, Celestin, Tobias, Yoo In-su, Park Soo-bin, Jang Min-gyu, Italo, Kim Ryun-seong, Negeba and Kim Shin-jin.

FotMob lists some players under fuller names: Yazan Abu Al-Arab and Patryk Klimala for Seoul, and Tobias Figueiredo, Julien Célestine and Negueba for Jeju. The platform identifies the club as Jeju SK. The fixture is recorded as a K League 1 match.

Jeju drew 3-3 with Hwaseong in a match report by 365Scores. A separate result listing says FC Seoul lost 0-2 to Busan I’Park in the FA Cup, but gives no match date. Those records are distinct from Seoul’s league task: holding its place at the summit.
