Samsung’s Galaxy S27+ could lose a feature used for precise accessory tracking: galaxy s27+ lose feature is the concern raised by leaked certification listings. The documents reportedly show UWB connectivity on the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra, but not on the Galaxy S27 or Galaxy S27+.

The listings appeared on China’s MIIT certification platform, according to SamMobile, which reported the leak on October 16, 2026. If the Plus model ships without ultra-wideband, locating compatible accessories such as Galaxy SmartTag 3 may be less precise.

What the leak says about Galaxy S27+ UWB

The certification entries reportedly cover four phones: Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra. SamMobile said the Pro and Ultra listings indicate UWB support, while the entries for the base model and Plus do not mention it.

That omission would mark a change for Samsung’s Plus line. SamMobile reported that Samsung has included UWB in its Galaxy S2x+ series since the Galaxy S21+. The base Galaxy S model lacking the feature would be consistent with its predecessors, but the same omission on the Plus would be unusual.

There is a caveat. SamMobile said the documents could be preliminary and might have mistakenly left out UWB support. The listings do not confirm what Samsung will include in final specifications, so the reported absence is not yet definitive.

Why UWB matters for accessory tracking

UWB allows compatible phones to determine the location of other devices and accessories more precisely. For a Galaxy S27+ owner, its absence could therefore affect how accurately the phone finds a compatible tracker such as Galaxy SmartTag 3.

That is a practical difference, not just a specification-sheet change. People who rely on a phone to locate a misplaced accessory could get less precise tracking if the device lacks UWB. The source does not establish how much accuracy would change, or whether every compatible accessory would be affected in the same way.

Bluetooth 6.0 may provide another route. SamMobile said the standard introduces Channel Sounding, which can measure distance more precisely and could serve as an alternative to UWB for compatible devices. Whether that option would help Galaxy S27+ users depends on the phone supporting Bluetooth 6.0 and on accessory compatibility; the leak does not settle either point.

For now, the MIIT entries offer an early indication rather than a final product specification. The key distinction in the reported listings is clear: UWB appears for the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra, while it is absent from the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ entries.
