JAKARTA — LPDP 2026 Phase 2 scholarship registration officially opened June 30, 2026, and closes July 31. Miss this window and you’re waiting at least six more months for the next cycle. Registration is live at beasiswalpdp-terintegrasi.kemenkeu.go.id starting at midnight WIB.

Programs and Phase 2 Focus Areas
Two main programs are open this phase. First, Strategic Industry STEM covers food security, energy, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, healthcare, and industrial downstreaming. At 74 percent of total quota, this allocation directly mirrors the government’s push to build a technology-driven industrial base.
Second, the SHARE program (Social, Humanities, Arts for People, Religious Studies, Economics) serves applicants from social sciences and the humanities.
Additional tracks are also available: the Acceleration Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, and the Research Talent Doctoral by Research pathway for candidates pursuing a full research doctorate.
Eligibility and Required Documents
Basic requirements: Indonesian citizen, a bachelor’s degree for master’s applicants or a master’s degree for doctoral applicants, minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Age cap is 35 for master’s programs and 40 for doctoral. All awardees must commit to returning to Indonesia after completing their studies.
Documents to upload include:
- National ID (KTP), family card (KK), and a formal photo
- Bachelor’s or master’s diploma and academic transcript
- Unconditional Letter of Acceptance (LoA), which must state the applicant’s name, program, and start date
- Language certificate: TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo
- CV and two letters of recommendation
- Contribution essay; doctoral applicants must also submit a research proposal
One notable change in 2026: the language requirement has been relaxed. A TOEFL score of 500 or IELTS 5.5 is now sufficient for the non-LoA application pathway — lower than in previous years. That opens the door for a broader pool of applicants who haven’t yet secured admission from a target university.
How to Apply at the Official Portal
The process is straightforward, provided documents are ready well in advance. Four steps:
- Go to beasiswalpdp-terintegrasi.kemenkeu.go.id
- Create an account using your National ID number (NIK) and an active email address
- Fill in your personal data and upload all documents in PDF format
- Submit and save your registration code as proof of application
One practical tip: upload documents between midnight and 6:00 a.m. WIB. Server load is lighter at those hours, especially as the deadline approaches. The hard cutoff is July 31, 2026, at 23:59 WIB — no late submissions accepted.
Why This Phase Matters
LPDP has consistently been the primary route for thousands of young Indonesian professionals to access world-class postgraduate education without financial strain. The full package — free tuition, a living allowance of around Rp 15 million per month, international flights, and insurance — means the total value of a single overseas master’s scholarship can exceed Rp 500 million.
The 74 percent STEM concentration is no accident. The Indonesian government is accelerating its national industrial transformation, from nickel downstreaming to building out AI and semiconductor ecosystems. STEM graduates returning from top global universities are central to that long-term strategy.
The deadline is July 31. Start preparing documents now — don’t leave it to the final week.
