Fire at Ozon Logistics Hub in Adygea After Reported Drone Attack
A fire at a major Ozon logistics hub in southern Russia disrupted orders after an overnight drone attack in Adygeysk, regional officials and the company

A fire at a major Ozon logistics hub in southern Russia disrupted orders after an overnight drone attack in Adygeysk, regional officials and the company said Wednesday. Ozon said workers were evacuated and no one was injured.
The blaze broke out at the e-commerce group’s distribution center in the Republic of Adygea. A video circulating on social media appeared to show the building burning, with part of its roof collapsed; the footage has not been independently verified.
Orders rerouted as crews respond
Ozon said it removed damaged goods from sale, canceled orders tied to the facility and redirected incoming shipments to other warehouses in the region. Emergency teams were at the scene fighting the fire.
Regional head Murat Kumpilov confirmed the incident and said drone debris also damaged a gas pipeline in a nearby village. The leak was brought under control, and no injuries were reported there. Authorities also reported damage to a private home’s windows.
The company did not describe the extent of damage inside the warehouse. Opened in late 2023, the hub employs more than 1,500 people and handles logistics for southern Russia.
Part of a wider pattern
The attack adds to a series of strikes on warehouses operated by Ozon and rival Wildberries since the summer. Ozon’s Adygeysk site had been targeted before, according to reports on the incident. The attacks have been described as part of efforts to disrupt Russia’s economy and war effort.
Russia and Ukraine have both escalated strikes on commercial and infrastructure sites in recent months, while front lines on the ground have remained largely static. Russia has also carried out attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. Ukraine had not publicly commented on the Adygeysk incident.
The warehouse fire comes amid a widening campaign of drone attacks in Russia. Ukrainian drones struck the Slavneft-YANOS refinery in Yaroslavl overnight on Nov. 3, causing a major fire and injuring two plant employees, regional authorities said.
Ozon said it was shifting affected deliveries to other facilities. The next steps will depend on the fire response and assessment of damage at the Adygeysk hub.
