Ja'Marr Chase caught 10 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown as the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-17 in Madrid on Sunday, November 8. Cincinnati built an early lead and never gave it up.
Chase did nearly all of his damage in the first 25 minutes. He was targeted 12 times in the Week 9 game, and he celebrated his touchdown with a matador routine that got the Madrid crowd going.
Burrow efficient, Higgins finds the end zone
Quarterback Joe Burrow completed 24 of 29 passes for 271 yards and three touchdowns, with no interceptions. He also scored on a quarterback sneak.
Tee Higgins had a quieter day as a receiver, with five catches for 32 yards. He still scored two touchdowns.
Burrow said Chase "was unbelievable" against the Falcons in Spain.
Bengals run out the clock
Once Cincinnati had control, the offense leaned less on Chase. Running backs Chase Brown and Samaje Perine ran down much of the fourth quarter.
Atlanta had its own bright spots. Running back Bijan Robinson carried 19 times for 100 yards and a touchdown, and he led the Falcons with six catches. After a strong opening drive, though, quarterback Michael Penix and the Atlanta offense could not keep pace.
What it means for Chase
It was Chase's second straight 100-yard game. He has also scored at least one touchdown in six of his last seven games.
The early-morning European kickoff draws mixed reviews from American fans. This one offered plenty of entertainment from the league's top offensive playmakers, particularly Chase and Robinson.
