A husband in southern India says he uncovered a chilling plan in his wife’s phone: messages with her alleged lover discussing how to kill him and make it look like a road accident. He has gone to police, saying he now fears for his life and for his two daughters.
G. Rajeshwara Rao, from Chilkodu in Dornakal mandal, filed a complaint with Dornakal police after he allegedly found the chats. Police registered a zero FIR and later transferred the case to Khammam Rural police station.
What the complaint says
According to Rao’s complaint, his wife Bhavani and the man he names as her lover, Saidulu, were plotting his murder. He submitted screenshots of their conversations and other material to police, saying the messages pointed to a plan to stage his death as a traffic accident.
“If you don’t kill my husband, I will,” one of the alleged messages said, according to the complaint. The wording is stark. So is the threat.
Rao told police he married Bhavani in 2016. She is originally from Raghavapuram in Mattampally mandal of Suryapet district. The couple have two daughters. Rao works at a private hospital in Khammam.
How the relationship changed
In his complaint, Rao said he noticed a shift in Bhavani’s behaviour over the past few months. He alleged that she had become acquainted with Saidulu, who works as a courier delivery agent in Khammam, and that the relationship later turned into an affair.
He also alleged that Saidulu had been visiting the family home when Rao was away. That detail pushed the matter from suspicion to fear, he told police, because it suggested access. And intent.
Zero FIRs are often used in India to register a complaint without delay, even if the case needs to move to another police station with jurisdiction. In this case, the file was later sent to Khammam Rural police station for further action.
