Bitcoin Today: Bitcoin Slides 6.29% to 75,369 as Ether Drops 8.51%
Bitcoin fell 6.29% to 75,369.2 and Ether sank 8.51% after the Nasdaq dropped 5.52%. Brent rose 4.89%, gold slipped 0.66%. Market levels and what to watch.

Bitcoin fell 6.29% to 75,369.2 in early Friday trading, extending a slide that has swept across digital assets as Wall Street closed sharply lower. Ether dropped 8.51% to 2,216.58 and Solana lost 6.74% to 89.06, according to data as of 06:05 WIB (23:05 GMT) on 6 November 2026.
The leading cryptocurrency was priced near 80,428.3 at the previous reference point, so the move strips about 5,059 points from its price in a single stretch. Crypto trades around the clock, which means there was no closing bell to cap the losses: the three largest tokens on the flash board were all lower at the same time.
Crypto falls alongside a rout in US equities
The decline came as US stocks finished Thursday deep in the red. The Nasdaq sank 5.52% to 24,314.998, the S&P 500 lost 4.36% to 7,353.73, and the Dow Jones fell 3.44% to 51,523.06. The small-cap Russell 2000 gave up 4.45%.
Our coverage of the equity sell-off describes AI stocks leading the slide, and a separate report noted the Nasdaq falling more than 10% from its record, close to correction territory. Bitcoin, Ether and Solana moved in the same direction on a day when risk appetite was weak across US markets.
Ether's fall was the steepest of the three. At 8.51%, it outpaced Bitcoin by more than two percentage points, while Solana's 6.74% decline landed just above Bitcoin's. Prices for the main tokens are tracked on the Bitcoin and Ethereum pages.
Oil climbs, gold edges lower
Outside crypto, the picture was mixed. Brent crude rose 4.89% to 99.25 dollars a barrel, and WTI gained 3.5% to 91.2. Gold slipped 0.66% to 4,087.25 dollars an ounce, so the metal did not act as a clear refuge during the sell-off. Silver lost 1.04% and copper fell 2.97%.
The 10-year Treasury yield eased to 4.837%, down from 4.894%, while the Dollar Index was roughly flat at 101.59. The Australian dollar was the weakest of the major currencies on the board, dropping 1.03% to 0.6935 against the US dollar. The euro slipped 0.11% to 1.1223, and sterling lost 0.14% to 1.3453.
Asia and Europe finished before the US sell-off
Most of Asia and Europe had closed before the sharpest losses on Wall Street, so their Thursday moves do not reflect the rout. Jakarta's IHSG closed up 2.57% at 5,030.261, and LQ45 gained 2.48%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 3.67%, Sensex added 3.11% and the ASX 200 advanced 2.61%. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 bucked the trend, falling 1.79%.
In Europe, the FTSE 100 and DAX each slipped 0.43%, while the CAC 40 rose 0.34%. The rupiah traded at 18,073.4 per dollar, little changed on the day.
What markets are watching next
The first test comes when Asian trading opens on Friday: Jakarta, Tokyo and Hong Kong will be the first major equity markets to react to the Wall Street close. Charter Communications reports before the US open on 6 November.
Earnings are due on Monday, 9 November from Constellation Energy, The Trade Desk and Take-Two Interactive, with Applied Materials and Cisco expected on 12 November. For crypto, which keeps trading through the weekend, the question is whether Bitcoin holds near its current level or extends the decline as US equities reopen.
