The Las Vegas Raiders returned to the Bay Area on Sunday, November 8, 2026, to face the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. It was their first regular-season game there since moving to Las Vegas. Kickoff in the 49ers vs Raiders matchup was 1:25 p.m. PST (4:25 p.m. EST) on Fox.

The 49ers lead the NFC West at 6-1. The Raiders, at 4-4, are unexpectedly in contention for an AFC playoff berth.

A rivalry with a rough history

The Raiders left Oakland for the second time after the 2019 season. They last played a regular-season game at Levi's Stadium in 2018, when there were 32 arrests that day.

A 2011 preseason meeting between the teams, marked by multiple incidents of fan violence, led to a suspension of the annual exhibition. The stadium's 3,500-square-foot holding facility could be busy again on Sunday.

Familiar faces on both sidelines

Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins has a history with 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan that dates to Cousins's rookie year with Washington in 2012. 49ers defensive coordinator Raheem Morris was Atlanta's head coach during Cousins's two seasons with the Falcons.

Raiders coach Klint Kubiak was the 49ers' passing game coordinator in 2023. His brother, Klay, has been San Francisco's offensive coordinator since 2025.

Cousins has also hurt the 49ers before. In a 2023 Monday Night Football game with the Minnesota Vikings, he completed 35 of 45 passes for 378 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Where the teams stand

The 49ers came off their bye week after their first loss of the season, to the Atlanta Falcons. They committed costly turnovers and penalties in that game, and the defense failed to generate consistent pressure.

San Francisco responded by trading for defensive lineman DeForest Buckner from the Indianapolis Colts. Buckner last played for the 49ers in 2019.

The Raiders opened the season with wins over the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers and New Orleans Saints. They then lost four straight, to the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams. Two of those defeats were by three points.

Injuries and odds

The 49ers placed wide receiver Christian Kirk on injured reserve on Saturday, which likely ends his season. They activated wide receiver Demarcus Robinson the same day.

Cornerbacks Upton Stout (neck) and Nate Hobbs (adductor) and safety Siran Neal (knee/foot) were listed as questionable.

FanDuel Sportsbook made the 49ers 9.5-point favorites, with the total set at 51.5. Kevin Kugler called the play-by-play for Fox, with Daryl Johnston as analyst.
