Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Available for Preorder at $1,299
Google’s pixel 11 pro XL is up for preorder at $1,299 and lands in stores August 20, with a 6.8-inch display, 5x zoom and more AI features.

JAKARTA — Google’s pixel 11 pro XL is now available to preorder at $1,299, putting it almost level with Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra in the premium phone market. The phone will reach stores starting August 20.
That price point matters because Google had long undercut Samsung’s top Ultra models by a wider margin. This time, the gap is down to 99 cents in the US, according to CNET’s comparison.
Google’s new flagship sits in a crowded part of the market. It brings a big display, a versatile camera setup, a large battery and a stack of AI features, all the ingredients buyers expect at this tier. But the pricing shift changes the conversation. It is no longer the cheaper alternative.
pixel 11 pro at flagship pricing
CNET said the Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at $1,299, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra starts at $1,300. The same report noted that both phones are built around premium hardware and AI-forward software. For buyers, that means the decision leans more on features and ecosystem than on price alone.
The Pixel also comes with a few Google-specific touches. CNET pointed to the HiLight notification light as one of the differences, while Samsung’s phone keeps its stylus and privacy display.
The key shift is simple. Google is not trying to win on bargain pricing here.
Display, battery and storage details
GSMArena lists the Pixel 11 Pro with a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL comes with a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel. Both support a variable 120Hz refresh rate that can drop to 1Hz to save power.
Brightness is also high on both models. GSMArena puts peak brightness at 3,600 nits, with 2,400 nits in high-brightness mode. The Pixel 11 Pro is listed with 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage options, and no card slot.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL weighs 226 g in the Wikipedia entry and is listed for release on August 20, 2026. The smaller Pixel 11 Pro is shown at 204 g. Both are part of Google’s broader Pixel 11 series.
The camera setup is equally aggressive. GSMArena lists a 50 MP main camera, a 48 MP ultrawide camera and a 48 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. The front camera is listed at 42 MP on the Pixel 11 Pro XL in the Wikipedia entry.
What buyers are getting
For shoppers, the bigger story is not just the hardware sheet. It is the price reset. Google has moved its top Pixel Pro model into the same bracket as Samsung’s flagship, which means the Pixel 11 Pro will be judged like a true ultra-premium device rather than a value play.
Battery and charging specs also keep the phone in the flagship lane. GSMArena lists 30W wired charging for the Pixel 11 Pro, 25W wireless charging and support for Qi2.2. The site also lists Android 17 and up to seven major OS updates.
That gives the phone a long runway. And it leaves Google with a bigger challenge: proving that Pixel AI features and camera tools can justify a price that now stands almost shoulder to shoulder with Samsung’s most expensive model.
On August 20, the Pixel 11 Pro XL goes on shelves. The question then gets answered in stores, not in slides.
