Francesco Farioli collected his second trophy as Porto manager after his side held off SCU Torreense, the second-tier club that had shocked Sporting Portugal to win the national cup last season.

Froholdt decides it

Lineups and late changes
BBC’s live coverage listed Diogo Costa in goal for Porto, with Alberto Costa, Bednarek, Kiwior and Sanusi in the back line. Froholdt, Rosario and Veiga started in midfield, while William Gomes, André Silva and Pepê led the attack.
Hwang In-beom came on in the 73rd minute, and Porto kept its shape late. Rosario picked up a yellow card in the 60th minute, William Gomes saw yellow just before halftime, and Kiwior was booked in the 90th minute.
For Torreense, the live team sheet showed David Bruno, Ali Diadie, Stopira and Vázquez in defense, with Léo Azevedo and Alfaro deeper in midfield and Quintero operating higher up. The club could not find the equaliser, and Porto saw out the final minutes without giving away much.
