PANGKALPINANG — PLN Babel FC finished as runner-up in the Bhayangkara Babel 2026 mini soccer tournament after a narrow defeat in a tightly contested final. The championship match, held at the Mini Soccer Bhaypark Field at Polda Kepulauan Bangka Belitung on Sunday afternoon, brought together top institutional teams to celebrate the 80th Bhayangkara Day.

PLN Babel FC’s path to second place was hard-won. From the group stage, the team from PLN Unit Induk Wilayah (UIW) Bangka Belitung had to dig deep against fierce opposition from vertical institutions and other law enforcement teams. Relying on compact organization, they advanced all the way to the final before ultimately falling 1-2 in a drama that went down to the final minutes.

Quick-Transition Tactics Define PLN Babel FC

Throughout the tournament, PLN Babel FC showed a clear playing identity. The coach used a flexible 2-3-1 setup, especially during transitions. The small-sided nature of mini soccer demanded split-second decisions. That is where the players’ physical edge and game vision stood out.

A full review has already been set in motion inside the squad. Midfield anchor and PLN Babel FC attack engine Miranto Mauladi said he was grateful for the team’s strong showing. He admitted the final offered valuable lessons about squad depth.

“Thank God, we are still grateful to finish this tournament with our heads held high in second place. Every player gave their best until the very last second. We controlled possession in the final, but they were more clinical with their chances. That is something we need to work on to sharpen our finishing,” Miranto said.

The Bhayangkara Babel 2026 tournament also proved to be a stage for local football talent within institutional circles. Beyond the trophy, the competition strengthened coordination and synergy among agencies in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. PLN Babel FC is now targeting the next inter-company tournament scheduled for later this year.
