Chart: JournalArta Markets

Bitcoin was little changed on Sunday, trading at 75,865.79 at 11:55 GMT, up 0.15% over the past day. Ethereum edged up 0.01% to 2,237.16, while Solana slipped 0.15% to 89.54. It was a quiet weekend tape for the three largest names on the board, with none of them moving by even a fifth of a percent.

Stock, bond, gold and oil markets are shut until the new week begins, so crypto is the only major asset class trading live. Readings for those other markets below are Friday's closing levels, not live prices.

Bitcoin: flat on the day, lower on the month

The Bitcoin price sits well inside its 52-week range, which runs from a low of 58,558.86 to a high of 105,996.6. Over the past month it has lost 8.09%, and it is down 13.3% so far this year. The day's gain of 112.08 is small set against those figures, and the market has spent the weekend consolidating rather than extending the month's decline.

The move is a far cry from the sharp slide earlier in the week, when Bitcoin dropped 6.29% to 75,369 as US stocks closed sharply lower. Sunday's price is just above that level, which means the market has held its footing since.

Ethereum and Solana trail the year's pace

Ethereum is the weaker of the two majors on longer horizons. It has fallen 9.99% in a month and 24.6% year to date, nearly double Bitcoin's loss for 2026. Its 52-week range stretches from 1,564.82 to 3,582.62, leaving the 2,237.16 price closer to the lower end of that band.

Solana traded at 89.54, a move of 0.15% lower, or 0.13 in dollar terms. The day's changes across all three tokens were within a rounding error of flat, which is typical for a weekend when institutional desks are away and volume thins out.

What the rest of the world left behind on Friday

Crypto's quiet contrasts with a busy end to the trading week elsewhere. On Wall Street the Nasdaq rose 1.09% to 24,579.42 and the S&P 500 gained 0.32% to 7,376.86, while the Dow Jones slipped 0.46% to 51,285.73. The VIX volatility gauge eased 9.01% to 25.64, still elevated by recent standards.

The US 10-year Treasury yield ended at 4.859%, up 0.46% on the day, and the Dollar Index closed at 102.279. In Asia, Tokyo's Nikkei 225 fell 5.97% on Friday, with the Hang Seng down 1.27% and Singapore's Straits Times down 2.21%. Jakarta bucked the trend: the IHSG ended Friday at 5,050.43, up 0.4%.

Gold finished the week at 4,074.9 an ounce, down 0.94%, and Brent crude was at 98.32 a barrel, little changed. Those commodity prints are stale until trading resumes, so they offer context rather than a live read on risk appetite.

What to watch next

Attention turns to Monday, when equity and commodity markets reopen and give crypto a fresh set of cues. Earnings arrive from Constellation Energy before the bell on 9 November, with The Trade Desk and Take-Two Interactive reporting after it. Applied Materials and Cisco follow on 12 November after the close.

For Bitcoin, the levels in focus are the 52-week bounds at 58,558.86 and 105,996.6, along with the 75,000 area where the price has been trading this week. Ethereum's range is 1,564.82 to 3,582.62. The next live reading comes when Asian markets open, with the Nikkei and the Nasdaq the main reference points for risk sentiment.
